Readers' comments
The book deals with a wide range of topics to do with the people and their way of life. The book is beautifully illustrated with four maps and more than 50 coloured photos. I am not aware of any other comparable book about a Fijian village and the people of Soso people can feel proud. Professor Andrew Pawley at the book launch
The book's interest is in no way limited to those who would like an acquaintance with either a particular village on a particular island or even specifically with Fijian life. I suggest it has broad appeal to anyone wanting to come to grips with the past and future of many islands of the Pacific. Dawn Richardson, Canberra
It’s a fascinating and very readable story, and, as you would expect, has a generous and detailed index! Sherrey Quinn ANZSI Newsletter 13 (3), June 2017 p. 11
